Who We Are?

About Us

Agege Club of Nigeria was conceived and later formed by a group of friends and associates in year 2010.

However, the formal registration of the Club was filed with and certificate released by the Corporate Affairs Commission in September, 2011.

Prince Jamiu Agboola Ajiboye who was and currently is the Chairman Board of Trustees of our Club was unanimously elected to serve as the 1st and pioneer President of the Club in 2011.

More about us

Having served meritoriously for 9 years, with a lot of turbulence/uncertainty and being able to take the Club through the teething but stormy formation process, thereby stabilizing it into a strong and formidable Club, Prince Jamiu Agboola Ajiboye was historically reelected in the first post-formation election held in October, 2020, to serve his second and final term as the President for another two constitutionally guaranteed years and he was sworn in alongside his Executive Committee during the first 3 days retreat of the Club held at Providence Hotel, Abeokuta on 7th December, 2020.

After spending 11 years in all as the Pioneer President of the Club, history was made in October 2022 when the current President, Alh. Gbolahan Tajudeen Tijani, FCA, and his other 11 member Executive Committee were elected during the second post-formation election, and they were subsequently sworn in during the second Club’s biennial 3 day retreat held at Ilaji Hotels & Sports Resorts , Ibadan, on 4th December, 2022. The next election of the Club is billed to hold again in October 2024.

The formation, structure, membership, running, meeting and finances of the Club are guided by the Club’s Constitution, a soft copy of which can be seen on the Club’s website.

The success story of the Club during the tenure of our Pioneer President, Prince Jamiu Agboola Ajiboye culminated in the purchase and acquisition of a standard sized landed property situated at 5, Unity Close, off Babajide Sanwoolu (Dopemu) Road, at a whopping 18 Million (Eighteen Million) Naira.

Our Club under the leadership of the current President, Alh. Gbolahan Tajudeen Tijani, FCA, has since started building a very strong and modern Club House building on the land and with the support of members and our friends, he hopes to complete the Club House building project within the lifetime of his administration.

The membership of the Club is composed of businessmen, professionals and community leaders. The Club currently has over 30 strong and financially stable members.

The Club is a Socio-philanthropic organization. Our positive impact had been extended through provision of educational support materials to schools within and around Agege metropolis, as well as donation of critical consumables and other items to motherless babies homes in Agege and other adjoining communities.
